Fight scrapers with the AntiScraper web service.
Download the Wordpress Plugin to Your Blog.
Ever run a copyscape on your content and notice someone has stolen it? People
who steal website content typically do so using a program called a "scraper."
These programs automatically take your content and post it to the thieve's own
blog or content. This service protects bloggers and content owners using an
internal tracking system as well as your own scraper settings. AntiScraper
relies on a community of content creators who report scrapers, and the database
is shared with others to block content thieves.
Here are some of
the advantages of signing up with us:
- Internal database of scraper sites blocks known content thieves from accessing
your site
- Your own, personalized list of scrapers you find stealing your content
- Account management interface to add or delete scraper IP addresses
- Quick and easy code module plug-ins for your blog or website
- No added installations or software. Just plug-in the code and start blocking
AntiScraper is currently in beta, but adding the code does not affect your site.
How AntiScraper Works
The program runs as a web service on our servers. You connect to this web service
from your blog or website using our custom code. The code to connect to the web service is
here.
You must have an account with us before the AntiScraper service functions. The service is free
for a month. If you decide to keep the service, it is only $10 each year. You can connect
as many blogs or websites under your own account.
If a scraper attempts to steal your content, the connection
to our service flags the IP and blocks the scraper from stealing your content.
We keep a database of reported scrapers, so we also rely on content creators and developers
to report scrapers. Our database of scrapers is provided by the web community. However, you
also have your own account page where you can add custom blocks for people you believe
are scraping your content.
